Built for their dead by the medieval Lodhi and Mughal rulers, these tombs make for a great tourist attraction and a recreational spot. This tour will take you to explore 3 of the most beautiful garden tombs. Your first stop will be the Safdarjung Tomb. Built in 1754 with sandstone and marble, this spacious mausoleum has an imposing presence. Its domed and arched red, brown and white colors are typical of most Islamic architecture around the world. Your tour will then move towards Humayun's Tomb. This magnificent Mughal building, set in a square enclosed garden, was constructed between 1565 to 1566.
