  • Delhi is a city where modernity meets tradition. To understand this completely, this specially designed full day tour will take you through the Old and the New parts of the city. You will begin the tour with a visit to the Jama Masjid, a mosque built between 1644-1656 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Next, you will tour the narrow alleys and ancient architecture of old Delhi on a cycle rickshaw, passing through bustling local markets, food stalls and colorful stores. Next, your guide will take you to a Sikh temple called Gurudwara Sis Ganj. This gurudwara (temple) is a historical site of Delhi, established in 1783, to commemorate the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur who was the Ninth Sikh Guru. Once you have experienced old Delhi, you will drive past Lutyen's Delhi, a part of the city constructed by a British architect. Here, you will see India Gate, The Rashtrapati Bhawan or President's House and the Parliament Building. You may stop and click photographs to keep these memories alive. After a quick lunch (pay directly) you will be taken to Humayun's Tomb, a magnificent 16th-century Mughal structure with massive gardens around it. This is now home to the casket of the second Mughal Emperor Humayun, often called the Boy King or the King who never fully matured. This structure, built in red sandstone, is believed to resemble the Taj Mahal. The last step of your tour will be the Qutub Minar which is a 73-meter tall victory tower with 5 storeys. Here, you will also see the ancient Iron Pillar. Built by King Chandra in the 3rd and 4th centuries, the mysterious pillar refuses to rust through the ages.
