  • Located in old Hyderabad, the famed Charminar, with its four minarets, built at the end of the 16th century, is one of the landmarks of the city. It is situated in the heart of the walled city and lined by lively bazaars. This 56m-high triumphal arch was built by Quli Qutub Shah, the 5th Sultan of Golconda, to commemorate the end of a plague in Hyderabad.
  • Situated close to Charminar is the legendary Laad Bazaar. It is a narrow lane where burkha-clad women can be seen buying interesting items available here. The bazaar is particularly famous for bangles, bidri ware and pearls. This is Hyderabadi ambience at its most authentic.
  • In old Hyderabad, you will also be taken to visit the Mecca Mosque, which is the largest mosque in South India and Nizam’s Museum at Purani Haveli which is more intimate than the world famous Salarjung Museum. Also walk around the area to see the artisans – bangle makers, lac workers, etc.
