Rajasthan is well-connected by national and state highways too. The NH-8, which runs from Mumbai to Delhi goes through Ajmer, Jaipur, Udaipur and Chittorgarh. Jaipur is linked by road to Delhi, Ahmedabad and Indore cities.

Best Time to Visit Rajasthan

The best time to visit Rajasthan is between July and September when the state cools down with monsoon showers. Mt. Abu, Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur are the ideal destinations for a summer visit because the rest of the state burns up with temperatures hovering around 50 degrees! October to March is also a good time to visit Rajasthan because the weather remains favourable but there will be severe variations in temperatures during the night and day.
